Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot Chambers of Commerce and Industry Successfully Implemented the Cyprus Producers Network (CPN) Project Nicosia, October 20, 2008 – The accomplishments of the Cyprus Producers’ Network (CPN) bi-communal project were highlighted at an event at the Nicosia Fulbright Center on Monday October 20, 2008 that previewed the new CPN web portal, an interactive business development and communications tool that business people from both communities can use to develop and maintain business contacts across the Green Line.

Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Industry was established on 19 March 1977, after 19 years representation within the Chamber of Commerce (Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry) which was established in 1958.

When it was established chamber has 40 member, but now this number is 400.

“Improve SME’s Competitiveness and ICT Sector”
The European Union has launched the “Improve SME’s Competitiveness and ICT Sector” grant scheme

The EU “Improve SME’s Competitiveness and ICT Sector” Grant Scheme will give grants between €50.000 and €500.000 to SME’s and intermediary professional associations in order to increase the competitiveness of the SME’s, enhance the competitiveness of the ICT sector, diversify the local economy and increase job creation. The deadline for the submission of the proposals is 30/09/2009. For detailed information please contact Niyal Ozturk from the Program Development Department of the chamber. The table below shows the financial allocation of the total grant according to the strands:
