From Cyprus, only Secretary General
of the Chamber of Industry, Mustafa
Gündüz attended the e-Business Forum
organised by the Eurochambers Academy
in Dublin, capital of Ireland. A successful
publicity was performed, both personally
and institu-tionally.
24 staff of chambers from 13 countries
attended the forum, organised between
10 to 14th December 2006. The Eurochambers
Academy, which is an organisation
of the Eurochambers, organises meetings
at various regions for holding a workshop
on a chosen issue, discussing the
issue with the participants under
the leadership of ex-pert speakers
of the issue, providing exchange of
information among chambers and for
forming communication networks and
friendships. Paul Skehan, Deputy Secre-tary
General of the Eurochambers, chairs
these meetings.
Chosen topic of the Academy Forum,
organised in Dublin between 10 to
14th De-cember 2006 was e-business.
Alongside for developing personal
relations, the activity was also highly
beneficial for promoting Northern
Cyprus, explaining distresses of Turkish
Cypriots, getting infor-mation on
studies of the chambers affiliated
to the union, and for learning develop-ments
on e-business and determining future
studies on the issue.

As result of quite successful meetings,
good relations were set with entire
partici-pants and most of all, with
the Deputy Secretary General of the
Eurochambers.
Secretary General Mustafa Gündüz told
that during four-day forum, two topics
–each lasting 1,5 hours- were discussed
each day adding that the CTCI studied
on e-export for overcoming recent
isolations and received answers to
all questions he asked on the issue.
