| The delegation of the Islam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which is attached to the Organisation of Islamic Conference have visited the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry (CTCI) on March 18.
The delegation of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce consisting of the representatives of 12 organisations and institutions attached to the OIC and the Secretariat of the OIC, visiting the TRNC as the quests of Turgay Avcı, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, met with President of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry Salih Tunar and authorities of the chamber.
The President of the CTCI Salih Tunar in his speech said that they had meetings with several visitors from the OIC before, and that they aimed to bring the former relations to a higher level and improve them with this delegation.
Reminding that the OIC had a decision to improve the economical cooperation with North Cyprus , Mr. Tunar said that the visit was related with implementing this decision and will help improving the relations by enlightening Chamber's future works.
Ahmed: “We are aiming to set cooperation between the Islamic countries and North Cyprus”
Deputy Secretary General of the OIC Islamic Chamber of Commerce Ahmed Muhiddin Ahmed thanked authorities of the CTCI for their hospitality adding that they were aiming to set cooperation between the Islamic countries and North Cyprus .
Stating that their target was to break the isolation, Ahmed said that they intension was to develop relations with the TRNC which was a “cure country” and institutions attached to the OIC, and to inform other Islamic countries on problems, opportunities and the economy of this country.
